Update on the Upfield Bike path closure

Comments are off for this post Digg thisThe Dawson St closure (Tue 13th March) is going to last all day unfortunately. The contractors have advised that the concrete will not be cured till after dark. They agree not to close it till 9am though they will be around doing preparatory work before then. They will also put a couple of bollards in the 'cut-out' in the asphalt behind the library to make it safer. The trees and benches behind the library are not an issue for cyclists.
Four large posters have been mounted on walls facing the path and one in the Baths, advising of the closure. A couple of messages have been chalked on the path as well.
